Stella Mae Hess

Stella Mae Hess, 82, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away, Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

She was born in Charlotte, Michigan on August 28, 1937, daughter of the late Leroy L. and Alma Mae (Wise) Wilson. Stella spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and homemaker. She was united in marriage to Herbert Hess on May 19, 1956 in Milan, Michigan and to this union four children were born. Stella was a member of Franklin Baptist Church in Franklin, Arkansas. She enjoyed singing, missions and her friends.

Stella is survived by her husband, Herbert Hess of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; sons, Herbert Lee Hess, Jr. of Spring Valley Lake, California and Ross Clifford Hess of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; daughter, Alma Mae Mitchell of Midland, Michigan; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Alma Wilson; daughter, Nancy Jean Snyder; brother, John William Wilson and sisters, Velma Mae Wilson and Beatrice Marie Powell.

Private graveside services will be held.
