Ronald Ray Dunton

Ronald Ray Dunton, 73, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, August 13th, 2017 at White River Medical Center in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. 

He was born in Aurora, Missouri on December 6, 1943, son of the late Geneva (Jaqua) and Harold  Dunton. Ron spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was united in marriage to Sharon Kay McConnell on July 4, 1964 in Galena, Kansas. During his working years, he owned and managed Ron's Fine Foods in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. Ron had worked in the grocery store business since he was 13 years old. He loved his family very much and they meant more to him than anything in the world. 

Ron is survived by his wife, Sharon Dunton of the home; daughters, Tami Thomas and husband Richard of Springdale, Arkansas, Kelly Brown and husband Dr. Hunter of Batesville, Arkansas and Debbi  Goodwin and husband Charles of Batesville, Arkansas; sister, Beverly Haymes and husband Richard of Eldon, Missouir; brothers, Wesley Dunton of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and Michael Dunton and wife Sharon of Verona, Missouri and three grandchildren, Dexter Thomas, Makenzie Thomas both of Springdale, Arkansas and Cory Goodwin of Batesville, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Geneva Dunton and brother, Roger Dunton.
