Rhonda Raeber

Rhonda Sue Raeber, 66, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, September 4, 2023. She was born on October 10, 1956, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late William and Joan (Palmer) Raeber.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; grandson, Kendall Shackelford and other family members.

Rhonda is survived by her son Jacob Trent Raeber of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; daughter, Marti Lee Raeber of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; sisters, Rita (Stan) Folz and Robin Raeber; grandchildren, Kayla (Tyler) Christy and Brian (Ashley) Shackelford and great grandchildren, Hunter, Austin, Peyton, Averie and Oakley.

During her working years, she worked as a caregiver, bus driver, and a road grader for the road department. Rhonda also helped run a family-owned restaurant. She was a member of New Beginning in Jesus Fellowship Church in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, and was a member of the Audubon Society. Rhonda enjoyed taking care of her animals and spending time watching the birds and squirrels. She liked spending time outdoors fishing, gardening, and taking long drives taking in the beautiful scenery. She loved her family and spending time with them. You could always find her watering her plants, watching the animals outside, or fishing. She was a very giving woman and would do anything for anyone. She loved her family very deeply and will be missed by many.

Memorial services will be Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Crossroads Baptist Church in Ash Flat, Arkansas beginning at 4:00 PM.
