Melvin (Bud) Deen Beggs

Melvin (Bud) Deen Beggs, 68, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas formerly of Kankakee, Illinois, passed away, Sunday, May 31st, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas. He was born in Dongola, Illinois on August 22, 1946 a son of the late Melvin Lewis and Orpha Ruth (Sloan) Beggs. Melvin was united in marriage to Cheryl Lynn Clement on June 5, 2009 in Melbourne, Arkansas. He served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army and spent 30 years as a driver and installer for a propane company in Illinois. Melvin was a member of the VFW and Aroma American Legion in Illinois and The Eagle's in Horseshoe Bend. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl of the home; one daughter, Melinda Lort of Kankakee, Illinois; one son, Gary Beggs of Kankakee, Illinois; two grandsons, Max Lort and Tate Beggs; and good friend, Chris Outler. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Orpha Beggs; first wife, Barbara Beggs; one brother, Larry Beggs; and hunting buddy, Babe.
