Mayme Kappel

Mayme Berniece Earl Kappel, 98, of Mooresville, Indiana, formerly of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, June 14th, 2017 at Franscian Health in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was born in Grand Glaze, Arkansas on October 28, 1918, daughter of the late Minnie Bell (Payton) and Louis Jernigan McSpadden. Mayme spent her life as a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, friend and cosmetologist. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Horseshoe Bend Garden Club, Turkey Mountain Ladies Golf League and Turkey Mountain Art Society all of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.

Mayme is survived by her daughter, Mildred Berniece Snider and husband Marvin of Mooresville, Indiana; sons, Ewin Grady Overton and wife Lois of Deleware, Ohio and Jimmy Dale Overton and wife Linda of Avon, Indiana; six grandchildren, Penny Overton, Tara Overton Lewis, Jeff Overton, Lisa Fosnight, Michael Snider and Sherri Hause; 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and one on the way and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and Louis McSpadden; 1st husband, Ewin G. Overton; 2nd husband, George R. Earl and 3rd husband, Frank Kapel.

Pallbearers include: Mike Snider, Jeff Overton, Eric Fosnight, Justin Hause, Jim Overton and Marvin Snider

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 beginning at 11:00 AM at Faith Presbyterian Church in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas with Rev. David Schaller officiating. Interment will follow at Evening Shadows Memorial Park in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
