John A Cornwell was born in Danville, Illinois, April 16, 1933, son of Allen and Alma (Cooper) Cornwell. He departed this life on January 2, 2014 at White River Medical Center in Batesville at the age of 80 years, eight months, and 17 days. John was united in marriage to Reba Call in Dayton, Ohio. He served two years of his life in the US ARMY during the Korean War, stationed in Alaska. His working years were spent as a promoter in the entertainment industry. John is survived by his spouse, Reba of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; one son, Edward Cornwell and wife Terry of Granite City, Illinois; three step daughters, Lisa Cooper and husband Mark of Dayton, Ohio, Jennifer Diehl and husband Eric of Lapeer, Michigan, and Laura Hall of Rockhill, South Carolina; one grandson, William Cornwell; 7 step grandchildren, Christy Davis, Lindsey Slatton, Kelsie Mery, Kinzie Hall, Danielle Diehl, Jessica Diehl, and Logan Diehl; and 7 great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Allen and Alma Cornwell and one brother William Cornwell. Arrangements by Doty Family Funeral and Memorial Service of Horseshoe Bend.
