James "Jim" Dewayne Vroman

James “Jim” Dewayne Vroman, 70, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away, Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his home in Horseshoe Bend.

He was born in Lycoming, Pennsylvania, on October 2, 1950, son of the late Archie and LaVonne (Russell) Vroman. James spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was united in marriage to the late Nancy Vroman. During his working years, Jim was a truck driver. Jim was a car guy. He loved to work on cars and drive. Jim was tinker and enjoyed drag racing. He was a member of the Eagles in Horseshoe Bend.

Jim is survived by his son, Leon Meek of Lexington, Tennessee; brothers, Wayne Vroman of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, Archie Vroman and wife Cindy of Pennsylvania, Terry Vroman of Pennsylvania, Douglas Vroman of Pennsylvania and Michael Vroman and wife Janette of Michigan; sisters, Cheryl Staton of Pennsylvania and Hazel Wilger and husband Tom of Illinois and grandchildren, Jerilynne Reeves, Jada Nichols, Josi Nichols and Jacqulyn Blankenship.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Vroman and parents, Archie and LaVonne Vroman.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 9, 2021 beginning at 10:00 AM at Doty Family Funeral & Memorial Service in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. Graveside services will be Saturday, January 9, 2021 beginning at 3:00 PM at Union Hill Cemetery in Reagan, Tennessee.
