Jack R Bonewits

Jack R Bonewits, 73, of Horseshoe Bend, AR, passed away, February 15th, peacefully, at his home. He was born in Sumner, Illinois on January 13, 1941, the son of the late Genevieve (Fiscus) and Spencer Bonewits. Jack was united in marriage to Evelyn Whatling, March 10, 1961 in Hammond, Indiana. He spent his working years as a self employed building contractor. Jack was a member of the Masonic Lodge 334 in Sumner, Illinois. Jack is survived by two sons, Jack and Brenda Bonewits of Griffith, Indiana and Stanley and Connie Hurst of Indian Land, South Carolina; two daughters, Martha K Bonewits of South Bend, Indiana and Carol H Whitney of Roswell, Georgia; one brother, James and Shirley Bonewits of Agnos, Arkansas; one sister, Pat Lubovich; 8 grandchildren, Patrick Hurst, Calvin Bonewits, AJ Whitney, Dustin Whitney, Jamie Hurst, Kelsey Bonewits, Amanda Sichler, and Keri Oursler and 9 great grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother, and two sisters. Funeral services are, Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 1:00 PM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at Doty Family Funeral and Memorial Service in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Doty Family Funeral and Memorial Service.
