Gloria Elizabeth Waszak

Gloria Elizabeth Waszak, 94, of Brockwell, Arkansas passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, in Calico Rock, Arkansas.

She was born in Prentice, Wisconsin, on October 19, 1928, daughter of the late Oscar and Hildur (Bergquist) Nelson. Gloria was united in marriage to Anthony “Tony” Waszak and from this union two children were born. They made their home in Brookfiled, Illinois for over 60 years. During her working years, Gloria worked in retail management. After moving to Brockwell, Arkansas, she enjoyed quilting, volunteering at the nursing home and the Fulton County Fair. Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Horseshoe Bend where she volunteered in many capacities including VBS.

Gloria is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Robert Nortier; grandchildren, Brittny, Ian, Rob, Kyle and Wesley and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Waszak; son, Philip Waszak and her parents.

Pallbearers include: Robert Nortier, Ian Fitzgerald, Tony Belsan and Rob Nortier.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 24, 2023, beginning at 11:00 AM with visitation prior to the service beginning at 9:00 AM at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Horseshoe Bend with Pastor Tews officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Rock Cemetery in Bandmill.
