Glen Eugene Schwartz

Glen Eugene Schwartz, 79, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, February 26, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

He was born on October 9, 1942, in Olney, Illinois to the late Everett H.  and Luvicia Minerva (Robinson) Schwartz. He moved to Horseshoe Bend in 1969 when there was only a population of 300. Glen was a member of Horseshoe Bend First Baptist Church. He was a past Fire Chief for the Horseshoe Bend Fire and Rescue Department.   Glen was a Life-time member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Horseshoe Bend and also a member of the Shriners Club in Horseshoe Bend when the club was an active chapter. Glen was a Mason and was a past Master of the Salem Lodge.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Bruce Schwartz of Noble, Illinois and Glen Harold Schwartz of Albion, Illinois, Brenda Lee Schwartz of Parkersburg, Illinois and Katie (Miles) Janke of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; brother, Galen Schwartz of Olney, Illinois; sister, Mable Schwartz of Rutland, Illinois; 20 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Eugene Schwartz; step grandson, Carl Lichte; parents; brothers, Larry Schwartz, Junior Schwartz, Bill Schwartz and Kenny Schwartz and sister, Betty Schwartz.
