Elizabeth M Palmer

Elizabeth M Palmer, 91, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkasas, passed away, Sunday, October 9th, at Crown Point Nursing and Rehab in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. She was born in Rockford, Illinois on August 11, 1925,  daughter of the late Velma (Sexton) and Homer Carr. On September 10, 1944 she was united in marriage to the late James A. Palmer. Elizabeth spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a homemaker and belonged to the Christian Women's Club, Gideon's and was of the Assembly of God faith.

Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Steven Palmer of Durand, Illinois and Dan Palmer of Spring Hill, Florida; daughters, Ruth Farmer of St. Louis, Missouri and Lori Palmer of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; brother, Emery Backman of Brooklyn, Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren, Chris Palmer of Belvidere, Illinois, Jon Palmer of Winnebago, Illinois, Nathan Palmer of Byron, Illinois, Beth Lowery of Winnebago, Illinois, Travis Palmer of St. James City, Florida, Matthew Palmer of Hudson, Florida, Cory Palmer of Spring Hill, Florida, Casey Lloyd of Janesville, Wisconsin, Samantha Kesler of Janesville, Wisconsin, Austin Coil of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, Ashley Coil of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, Michael Farmer of Minot, North Dakota, Ryan Farmer of Rolla, Missouri and Kathryn Farmer of Kirksville, Missouri and 23 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Velma Carr; husband, James A. Palmer; son, David Palmer; step grandson, Tyler Coil; sister, Helen Smith and brother, George Carr.

There will be a memorial service at a later date in Durand, Illinois.

Arrangements entrusted to Doty Family Funeral and Memorial Service of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.
