Bette Wolfe, 92 of Horseshoe Bend, passed away January 4, 2015. She was born April 26, 1922 in Union County, Iowa to Alvin and Lettie Braman. Mrs. Wolfe was married to Dr. Russell M. Wolfe, a loving wife and mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Wolfe is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Skip) Seaton of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and Pamela (Bill) Shanle of Germantown, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Sarah J. (Phil) Nowack of Ft. Atkinson, Iowa, Marcus D. (Jennifer) Seaton of Story City, Iowa, Angela (Eric) Reynolds of Memphis, Tennessee and Miss Marisa Shanle of Memphis, Tennessee; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wolfe was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Lettie Braman, three brothers, James, Boyd, Robert and her loving husband, Dr. Russell M. Wolfe. Mrs. Wolfe was in charge of payroll at Solar Aircraft, a private secretary at Cap Homes, Western Tool and Bankers Life all of Des Moines, Iowa. She was actively involved in National Secretaries, a member of the Methodist Church in Iowa and later, Faith Presbyterian Church in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. Mrs. Wolfe was a past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, a member of TTT, PEO, Medical Women's Society, National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of American Colonists, and Colonial Dames XVII Century. Bette enjoyed playing golf, tennis, square dancing, and truly enjoyed playing bridge with friends and other fun card card games with her family. Her favorite time was spent with her grand children and great grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to Faith Presbyterian Church, 1001 Third Street, Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas 752512.
