Angelina S. Carter

Angelina S. Carter, nee Sacco, passed in peace Friday, Nov. 9th, 2018, at Diamond Cove LLC nursing home in Horseshoe Bend, AR, at the age of 97. She was born in Tampa, FL, and resided there most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sgt. Hurley Herbert Carter (U.S. Air Force, WWII); her parents, Micheli and Carolina Sacco; brothers Joe, Tony, Johnny, and Phillip Sacco; sister Frances McCorkle (nee Sacco); and her cherished son-in-law, Christopher John Dunn.

Angelina was survived by her daughter, Linda Carter Dunn of Cherokee Village, AR, and granddaughter,  Angelina Louisa Dunn and grandson-in-law, Bram D'Hoest, of Smith Falls, Ontario, Canada. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Angelina will be remembered by family and friends as an avid and accomplished gardener, a wonderful cook, and a compassionate animal lover. Also, she was known to write letters, frequently, to her Representative in Washington and the governor of Florida about matters that concerned her. 

The family wishes to thank the staffs of Diamond Cove LLC, Legacy Hospice, and Doty Family Funeral and Memorial Service for their kindness and professionalism throughout this difficult time. 

There are no plans for a service at this time. A memorial service will be held in Ontario, Canada, in the coming year. Condolences may be sent to Linda Dunn at P.O. Box 63, Cherokee Village, 72525.
