Alice Mae Leggans

Alice Mae Leggans, 88, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away, Sunday, March 31, 2024, in Ash Flat, Arkansas. 

She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on March 25, 1936, daughter of the late Ben and Gertrude (Cooper) Rose. Alice was united in marriage to the late Frank Leggans. During her working years, Alice worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 23 years for the state of Illinois. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #3431 in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. Alice enjoyed Crown Lake and spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved her great-great niece and nephew, Paige Beaver and Carter Blair. 

Alice is survived by her son, Frankie Leggans; brother, Don Rose and wife Gloria of Blue Island, Illinois; grandchildren, Frankie Joe Leggans, Dessire (Robert) Greeley, Carlie Leggans, Allie Leggans and Sandy Leggans; seven great grandchildren and special care givers and niece and nephew, Gayle Fuller and Art Fuller. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Leggans and three sisters, Helan Hall, Mary Miller and Alberta Fuller.
